@Linerberry: Thanks Linerberry!

@Betty: Thanks Betty!

@Cricket: Thanks Cricket! It's the south-west corner of my property, looking into the woods... We get this kind of fog at the end of winter when there is still enough snow on the ground and you nice folks from the south send warm, moist air our way. It makes for a layer of about 8 feet of fog....

[email protected] - Wolfgang
@Steve Rice: Thank you Steve! The air was actually relatively mild, that's what makes this kind of fog hanging over the snow.
[email protected] - Wolfgang
[email protected] - Wolfgang
@grouser: Rumour has it that you guys in the UK are specialists of fog just as we are specialists of snow and cold.... :-) Thanks for commenting grouser!

@Lorraine: Merci Lorraine!
[email protected] - Wolfgang
@Stephen Phillips: Thanks for your appreciation Steven! It was not really cold, as this kind of fog is the result of warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico coming up north when we still have a decent layer of snow on the ground.
[email protected] - Wolfgang
@Francesc B.: Merci Francesc!

@Daryl: No, not really cold, as I said before. (Of course, "cold" is relative!) The mist is caused by warmer humid air coming up from the south when we still have a good layer of snow on the ground... Thanks for your comment, Daryl!

@JJ: Thanks JJ!

@Suzanne Labbé: Merci Suzanne!
