@saeed: Thanks for the comment!
The computer seemed to have a low level software failiure that even a regular re-install could not cure. Laptops are more capricious than desktops, so I bought a desktop to tie me over till my laptop is fixed..

This is wonderful close up photo but this cute animal looks like gloomy; I can see some sadness in its eyes.
