Michael Skorulski from Cigel, Slovakia

This is beautiful. The eye is led right to that wonderful, colorful building.

31 Jan 2008 6:35am

@Michael Skorulski: You are right, Hamiza's photo really leads our eyes to building in the background. It was a hotel near the city center, then it was transformed into a very nice retirement home.
Wolfgang

paola veneziani photography from Brescia, Italy

31 Jan 2008 9:30am

@paola veneziani photography: Sì, possiamo trovare la bellezza nell'inverno, mille grazie,
Wolfgang

Steven from Montreal, Canada

I like it when the limbs are covered with snow (or frost)

31 Jan 2008 9:47am

@Steven: In that case Hamiza's photo is perfect for you! Thank you for your comment,
Wolfgang

Viewfinder from Bradenton, United States

Such beauty in winter!

31 Jan 2008 12:54pm

@Viewfinder: And it's a night shot as well! Hamiza took it at 9:00 pm, using only natural light with a long exposure. That's why the water looks so black. Thanks for your visit,
Wolfgang

Laurent from Lyon, France

Wolfgang

Cathy from Granby, Québec, Canada

Wolfgang

ManuelaR from Hainburg, Germany

Wonderful winter scenery, well done ;)

31 Jan 2008 1:54pm

Vielen Dank,
Wolfgang

Barbara from FloridaIt, United States

Very beautiful image of winter. I like the glow of light in background.

31 Jan 2008 2:59pm

@Barbara: Its a very nice retirement home, used to be a hotel. Thanks for your comment,
Wolfgang

Daroru from Amagasaki, Japan

The lights and colours on the building in the distance are intriguing...

31 Jan 2008 3:00pm

@Daroru: Yes they are. Hamiza used a long exposure with only natural light... Thanks for stopping by,
Wolfgang

Craiger from Vacaville, California, United States

Beautiful!

31 Jan 2008 3:36pm

@Craiger: Thanks Craiger!
Wolfgang

MaryB from Staffordshire, United Kingdom

The blackness of the river against the white frost covered trees, is georgous. I also really like the illuminated building in the distance.

31 Jan 2008 3:47pm

@MaryB: The blackness is due to the fact that it's a night shot. (9:00 pm) Hamiza used only ambient light with of course a long exposure. The building is a fancy retirement home. Thanks for your comment,
Wolfgang

Reza from Montreal, Canada

Naturally beautiful.

31 Jan 2008 3:56pm

@Reza: Thanks a lot Reza,
Wolfgang

Michael Rawluk from Prince George, Canada

A beautiful winter scene. The branches have a lovely delicate look in that light.

31 Jan 2008 4:38pm

@Michael Rawluk: And to say it's a night shot! Really amazing, isn't it? Thanks for your visit,
Wolfgang

Forouz from Bavaria, Germany

Excellent. I love it.

31 Jan 2008 6:08pm

Wolfgang

medam961 from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This is so beautiful and interesting photo. The photo is almost black and white because of that dark color of the river and those beautiful white frost branches...and the yellow glow of light in the distance gives some special charm to the photo.

31 Jan 2008 6:56pm

@medam961: It's a night shot with only natural light and a long exposure. Hamiza made it this January. The building in the back is a retirement home. Thank you for the compliment,
Wolfgang

Michael from Wuppertal, Germany

Nice winter scene taken here!

31 Jan 2008 8:34pm

31 Jan 2008 8:57pm

@Scarabaeus: Thanks Scarabaeus,
Wolfgang

Cynthia from Farmersville, United States

I like the "light" at the end of the "road" effect

31 Jan 2008 8:59pm

@Cynthia: Thanks, the lighted building is a fancy retirement home,
Wolfgang

Ina from Krugersdorp, South Africa

Wow, realy beautiful!

31 Jan 2008 9:01pm

Ale Triskele from Italy

belli i colori freddi dell'inverno...la luce è molto buona..molto bravo!

31 Jan 2008 9:42pm

Wolfgang

Hamiza from Granby, QC, Canada

31 Jan 2008 9:44pm

@Hamiza: Elle est tellement super! J'étais vraiment intrigué comment tu as réussi cette illumination toute en dégradés. Bravo Hamiza!
Wolfgang

Illuci from Hurdegaryp, Netherlands

2 Feb 2008 9:54pm

baobab from Cambridge, United States

I really like this - the buildings in the background seem like something from a Klimt painting, while the river seems so solid it's superreal

4 Feb 2008 1:42am
