I'm glad you like the photos. As I said, pottery is used for everyday objects there. About the rooms, they are actually carved in the rock, and are quite big. Some people still live in them, with running water, electricity, TV, but underground.

@Amir: Well, we had some pretty cold nights last week, so pumpkins would be terribly mushy if kept outside. Also, today we got 14 inches of white stuff... In other words, this is an older photo.
