Le mont Brome, plus connu sous le nom de Bromont,
est une des neufs collines montérégiennes
situées près de la ville de Montréal
dans le sud-ouest du Québec.
Cette montagne est haute de 553 mètres.
On peut y faire du vélo de montagne, du ski alpin,
du golf ou se baigner au parc aquatique local.
Le mont Brome s'est formé il y a environ 125 millions d’années
lors d’une intrusion sous-terraine de magma.
Ce magma n’a pas atteint la surface terrestre
et a figé en profondeur.
La colline est apparue lors de l’érosion par les glaciers
des roches sédimentaires avoisinantes,
plus fragiles que la roche métamorphique
formée par le contact du magma
et de la roche sédimentaire.

@kiji: Quand il y a des nuages ce n'est pas si froid. C'est surtout quand il y a un beau ciel bleu en janvier/février qu'il fait "frette" comme on dit ici..... Frette est plus froid que froid! :-) Merci pour le commentaire!

Nice soft beam from the watery sun. Yet despite this the landscape has a bleakness to it.

@grouser: I think the bleakness comes from the stubbles in the pastures thar have not been covered yet by snow. Thanks for your comment,
