@bruno: Merci au nom de Mathieu! @Stunner: Thanks Stunner! Arash from Dubai, United Arab EmiratesNice Urban shot! Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsTobacco is out, you can see it. Very nice old wall picture. 23 Jun 2008 9:45am @Illuci: Yeah, not too long ago about 50% of the adult population smoked and now it's barely 20%.... Thanks on behalf of Mathieu! @Betty: Thanks Betty! Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaMur de briques, fenetre et voila tout ce qui me plait, excellente photo,j'adore :) 23 Jun 2008 10:36am @Lorraine: Merci beaucoup Lorraine! Sammi from New Jersey, United StatesThe wall is a work of art. The windows add on to it. 23 Jun 2008 12:39pm @Sammi: Hi Sammi, thanks on behalf of Mathieu! @Helma: In the name of Mathieu "Khay'ly Mo'teh'shaker'am" for the compliment, Helma! dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Statesaside from the intriguing historic and much faded 'advert', i am enjoying the wonderful composition here. very interesting layout of the 5 windows - 2 of them being blocked in! :) 23 Jun 2008 1:52pm @dj.tigersprout: On another building in the same complex they even "renovated" an old historic snuff tobacco advertising to help remember what the buildings were used for. Thanks on behalf of Mathieu for your visit and compliment! @Peter Miller: Thanks Peter and welcome back! Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaThe faded colours are gorgeous. If only cigarettes would fade away like that. 23 Jun 2008 3:58pm @Michael Rawluk: I think they do! Remember, not too long ago almost 50% of the adult population smoked, now it's barely 20%, and even in bars smoking is prohibited! Thanks on behalf of Mathieu for the compliment! Thanks all for the comments. It's kind of hard to capture in a picture all the history of this wall. This was my goal with this picture. I'm glad people enjoyed. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesI see an ancient mural and ghosts of windows... most interesting. 23 Jun 2008 9:30pm @Earnest: Maybe there are ghosts inside as well, coming out of hiding at the stroke of midnight? On behalf of Mathieu thank you for your comment! MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomAmazing textures and colours of these old bricks, a great shot. 23 Jun 2008 10:38pm @MaryB: Thank you very much Mary! danthro from Suburbia, United Statesneat shot of an old building. what exactly did they do here with tobacco? 23 Jun 2008 11:48pm @danthro: I'm not sure as it was before my time in Granby, but I think they made mostly snuff and chewing tobacco. Thanks for your comment! akarui from Kagoshima, JapanJolie facade avec differentes couleurs de briques (peintes?).
