Japanalia from Yokohama, Japan"Arctic sculpture".....with a beautiful reflection. Light is playing on the ice and maybe (?) warming it a bit? 'cause you cannot live for ever in the "ice age"!!!! I'd have gotten all tired by now of so much snow and ice!!! 28 Mar 2008 5:43am @Japanalia: Since a couple of days my artic sculture has begin to melted down, so it's warming up more than a bit! vu@granby - Gilles Martineau Rags from Plano, United Stateslovely creation. Did you freeze while taking this image? 28 Mar 2008 6:34am @Rags: I didn't freeze since as you could see there was plenty of sun that day. Thanks for your visit vu@granby - Gilles Martineau @mosleh: Thank you. Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaA lovely mellow composition and I love that reflection. Love the reflection! 28 Mar 2008 10:46am @Craig: Glad you love it. vu@granby - Gilles Martineau @medam961: I'm quite happy about that one. vu@granby - Gilles Martineau Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesAptly named, very clear, and initially strange. It makes the viewer pause to actually look at this photo. 28 Mar 2008 11:13am @Earnest: This icy eye is a drain pipe to prevent the flood of the field behind. vu@granby - Gilles Martineau MJ from Delaware, United Statesbeautiful reflection... and so cold....great framing crisp clear sharp... I need to go back to the warmer pictures.... 28 Mar 2008 12:17pm @MJ: Thank you for visiting my cold picture, for a change let see a warmer one. vu@granby - Gilles Martineau Suzanne Labbé from Granby, CanadaGilles, vraiment tu nous gâtes. Cette photo, à partir d'éléments simples, est incroyablement bien réussie. Chapeau ! 28 Mar 2008 12:41pm @Suzanne Labbé: Merci Suzanne. Tu as toi-même bien réussi ton Colvert! @Teresa Durães: Obrigado. vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Quebec, CanadaUne superbe trouvaille Gilles! Elle from AustraliaWow it sure is icy over there! I wonder if I'll ever freeze if I ever go to Canada. Well done :) 28 Mar 2008 3:07pm @Elle: The sun of your clouds sunset will melted down our ice and snow. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomVery nice indeed, the shapes created by the ice are wonderful and the reflection is out of this world. 28 Mar 2008 5:54pm @MaryB: The shapes creators were: water, pipe and swirling cold wind. Laurent from Lyon, Franceune si jolie lumière, un beau piqué et une bonne composition. La magie d'un décor figé par la glace. J'adore. 28 Mar 2008 7:50pm @Laurent: La création de la magie de ce décor revient à mère nature. Ina from Krugersdorp, South AfricaExcellent indeed! Great capture, lovely colors too! 28 Mar 2008 8:01pm @Ina: Thank you for the comment but what a great macro of yours this Afrikaner flower! @Viewfinder: Thank you. @standley: Sculptée par l'artiste "Nature". vu@granby - Gilles Martineau @Illuci: E.T. gone home already! vu@granby - Gilles Martineau @Ana Lúcia: Thanks for your visit. Shrig from North East, United StatesOh! I like this! Wonderful white and very bright shot. Very nice. 28 Mar 2008 10:18pm @Shrig: It was a very nice day for that kind of shot. Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesThat "eye" sure wasn't crying "crocodile tears." Great interpretation as to what you see. 28 Mar 2008 10:19pm @Steven: I'm sure the eye wasn't crying "crocodile tears" because crocodile would have been frozen to death....! Thanks for that interesting comment. Anne from White Rock, CanadaAbsolutely splendid photo! The ice, reflection, etc. all perfectly exposed! It's like some prehistoric bird's neck, head and beak, and the "eye" is marvelous! Still so much Ice out there yet? It snowed here for about 4 hours today and we are supposed to be in the Banana Belt of British Columbia! :-) 29 Mar 2008 12:10am @Anne: Your comment is appreciated. This picture was taken at January end, it should be melted down now. How come that part of BC is name Banana Belt, to me you are very far from Central America? vu@granby - Gilles Martineau @Brites: Thank you.
