Gary from Cochise County, United StatesGood work on bringing the scene to life. The tempeture dropped 10 degrees as soon as I looked at this. I especially like the composition and the gray weathered wood. 8 Mar 2008 7:29am @Michael Skorulski: Glad you like Wolfgang's picture. gilles d. Merci et des salutations de la part du modèle, 8 Mar 2008 11:21am medam961 from Sarajevo, Bosnia and HerzegovinaI like this photo; the wooden promenade and the serenity that I can feel while looking at it. 8 Mar 2008 1:40pm @medam961: Puno hvala Medam,
gilles d.
gilles d. @Daroru: Thanks, it's a nice lake close to downtown Granby, for pictures in all seasons have a look here,
gilles d. Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesAh, you captured the solitude well! Wish I was there right now! 8 Mar 2008 2:11pm @Craiger: On that particular day it was probably too cold for someone from California, :-) Thanks for your comment,
gilles d. @Viewfinder: You are right about the cold, -12º C, -22º with the windchill, that is -7.6º F...
gilles d. Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsJe peux sentir le vent froid, photo impressionante!

gilles d. Bravo Wolfgang!! 8 Mar 2008 6:27pm @Johanne Prescott: Merci Johanne,
gilles d. MJ from Delaware, United Statesbeautiful... relaxing... I love the board walk and the water.... 8 Mar 2008 7:25pm @MJ: On that day the ice was thick enough for heavy machinery to work on it in preparation of our winter festival. For more pictures look here,
gilles d. Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaBeautiful. That must be an excellent walk in the summer. 8 Mar 2008 7:38pm @Michael Rawluk: Thanks Michael. For pictures of the lake in all seasons have a look here...

Japanalia from Yokohama, KenyaA quiet walk....yes! But is must be awfully cold! Even though the sun is shining! It gave you the chance to capture this beautiful image! Hope you'll do it again by May! 9 Mar 2008 7:13am @Japanalia: You are right, it was awfully cold! You gave me a good laugh with your comment though, somehow the countries got mixed up and in now says Yokohama, Kenya.... :-)
gilles d. @rachel: Merci Rachel,
gilles d. danthro from Suburbia, United Statesnice composition and subject. looks like a nice place to go on a walk alone with one's thoughts. 10 Mar 2008 10:32pm Steven from Chicagoland, United StatesSuch a "still" moment where everything looks deserted like everyone's gone for the winter. Good sense of depth here where the boardwalk does some nice leading around "the bend" and then reappearing in the distance. 11 Mar 2008 3:54pm |
