Great and simple, I like the interplay between the branches texture and the smoothness on the ground. I also like the dark red/brown against the white.

My favorite kind of winter shot - snow covered/frosted trees. The warmer tones of the buildings behind provide a nice contrast and make them stick out nicely!

@Steven: You are right about the warm colors in the background, There must be a warm fireplace and a nice mug of hot chocolate in these buildings, unless you prefer other "warming" beverages... Thanks for your comment,

@Harald: Deshalb brauchen wir keinen Winterurlaub machen, die Loipen sind 10 Minuten entfernt und der Skiberg 15 Minuten, und Winter haben wir sogar ein wenig zu lang....

I love the contrasts here! The white of the snow looks whiter and well defined! If I were a painter I'd choose this as inspiration for a miniature!
