La première fois que j'ai vu cette image,
je n'ai pas tout de suite bien compris le titre.
Plus tard, j'ai vu le sourire dans le bas de l'escalier.
Une image toute simple et inhabituelle.
Une scène bien vue.

I really love the look of recently fallen snow; I'm sure this is freshly fallen atop an old coat of snow also; ice too, perhaps? Still there is a beauty to it. Grew up where it all but never snowed. But when my wife and family moved to Iowa and Kentucky, where snow was an annual thing, I always enjoyed it -- up to about December 31st. After that, it was strictly a countdown to Springtime. Those long strings of monochrome Jan-Feb days could get downright depressing.

@Viewfinder: Actually we get about 50 days of beautiful sunny days in a normal winter, February is particularily sunny...

Sometimes mother nature is doing something for you to see but when you've been seing winter for so many years you don't notice the change in the surrounding. On this picture I've noticed a face that I haven't seen before.
