@Michael Rawluk: Thanks for your comment, ManuelaR from Hainburg, GermanyWhen there is snow or ice everyday's things become so artistic... like the way it is framed ;) 15 Jan 2008 6:04am @ManuelaR: True, snow and ice give a new look, thanks, @Stunner: Want some snow in Jamaica? Thanks for your visit, Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaLooks like a rough climb. Wonderful idea for a shot. It's so difficult to find an unusual winter shot but this is one. Great capture, Wolfgang. 15 Jan 2008 7:17am @Michael Skorulski: Again, this is not by me, this one belongs to Gilles Martineau, glad you like it, vu@granby - gilles from Granby, Québec, CanadaLa première fois que j'ai vu cette image, Une image toute simple et inhabituelle.
15 Jan 2008 8:36am Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesI like how you handled the highlights here! 15 Jan 2008 11:46am @Craiger: Thanks, @paola veneziani photography: Thank you, you have lots of snow in the Dolomites, @Steven: Merci beaucoup Steven! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesI really love the look of recently fallen snow; I'm sure this is freshly fallen atop an old coat of snow also; ice too, perhaps? Still there is a beauty to it. Grew up where it all but never snowed. But when my wife and family moved to Iowa and Kentucky, where snow was an annual thing, I always enjoyed it -- up to about December 31st. After that, it was strictly a countdown to Springtime. Those long strings of monochrome Jan-Feb days could get downright depressing. 15 Jan 2008 1:03pm @Viewfinder: Actually we get about 50 days of beautiful sunny days in a normal winter, February is particularily sunny... @Johanne Prescott: Merci au nom de Gilles, @Ina: Yes, it's nice, thanks for your visit, @Daroru: Yes, a natural snow sculpture, thanks for your visit, Sandra Rocha from Alfândega da Fé, PortugalEspectacular, ai que vontade de ir para aí. 15 Jan 2008 4:03pm @Sandra Rocha: Obrigado Sandra, Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, Franceimpressive stairs : a nice winter shot. 15 Jan 2008 5:09pm @Calusarus: Merci de votre commentaire et de votre visite sur notre blog, @Carmen Lapierre: Merci Carmen! C'est vrai que Gilles a bien vu.... medam961 from Sarajevo, Bosnia and HerzegovinaThis is beautiful photo of clear, fresh and white snow. 15 Jan 2008 9:19pm @medam961: Sometimes we gets lots of it! Thanks for your comment, @badala: Sim, muito engraçado! Obrigado, Gilles Martineau from CanadaSometimes mother nature is doing something for you to see but when you've been seing winter for so many years you don't notice the change in the surrounding. On this picture I've noticed a face that I haven't seen before. Gilles Martineau 15 Jan 2008 9:52pm @Gilles Martineau: Bravo Gilles, @Michael: Vielen Dank! MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomWonderfully crisp and white, simply beautiful. 15 Jan 2008 11:20pm @MaryB: Thanks a lot, MaryB. @Forouz: Careful, there might be ice under the snow! @shahab: You too, be careful, you might slip...
