18 Oct 2007 10:19pm @DaveB: Thank you, Dave @badala: The picnic this year was a great success, and thesev little ones were part of it. Manuela Photography from Hainburg, GermanyAll these wonderful happy faces "speak " for themselves. Wonderful. 24 Oct 2007 7:48am @Manuela Photography: Thank you! medam961 from Sarajevo, Bosnia and HerzegovinaI am sorry that I don’t understand French language so I don’t know what note follows the photo. I would say that those beautiful children were at some picnic. I like their beautiful faces. The two sweet girls seem to be sisters. And the boy; he is adorable too with his lovely smile; he is story for himself. That really is a lovely photo. 24 Oct 2007 7:54am @medam961: You are right about the picnic. It was organized by SERY, an organization that helps newcomers to integrate. To find out more you can click on the link under the photo, the explanations there are in French, English and Spanish. As for the little ones, they were cute indeed. Gilles asked if the title shouldn't be "Will you marry me?", he feels the little boy is infatuated with the girl. So you be the judge... Vanessa from Kent, United KingdomFantastic moment captured here, love the way the boy is looking at the girl. 24 Oct 2007 8:20am @Vanessa: So what do you say to Gille's suggestion? (please see my reply to medam) @Daroru: Merci beaucoup! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesThese happy faces tell the tale. Wonderful capture, Wolfgang! 24 Oct 2007 12:45pm @Viewfinder: Thanks VIewfinder! Amir from ?, IranKids are cute and funny. I always miss my childhood when I see this kind of shot. Well done for capturing this happy moment. Children usually have happier time than adults because they have not yet seen the ugly side of our world 24 Oct 2007 1:34pm @Amir: Thanks for your visit and comment. I have to say that your idea of children having happier times than adults is generallt true, but I know children that have seen the ugly side of our world, as you put it. It's very tough on our morale to see a child like this... Lost Valley View from Kamloops, CanadaThere is nothing to brighten up one's day than the smile of a young child!! Well done 24 Oct 2007 3:22pm @Lost Valley View: Thanks, and greetings from Granby to Kamloops... @Reza: Thank you, Reza, and à la prochaine, Brian from West Lafayette, United StatesVery nice image--these children are so obviously having a wonderful time! 24 Oct 2007 5:14pm @Brian: The magician sure knew how to catch their attention. Thanks for your visit, Brian. MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomThe little boys smile and pose is wonderful. They look such happy children! 24 Oct 2007 9:44pm @MaryB: Thanks Mary. They had a lot of fun with the magician. @HorseRotorVator: Thank you for your visit and comment. @Stunner: With kids it's always fun to observe them when they are having fun, thanks for your comment. Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaAbsolutely gorgeous. I love the expression on the boy. Priceless. 25 Oct 2007 12:03am @Michael Rawluk: So what's your take on his expression? Please read my answer to medam's comment above. Walt from Scarborough, CanadaAh man - great shot. I was trying to explain today to my class why my French is so poor...I'm going to have to get them to translate the captions for me...I have no excuse really. 25 Oct 2007 12:50am @Walt: Thanks for the compliment, Walt. For me learning French was easy, I married a Quebecoise.... In the meantime, if you want to learn more about SERY, the organizers of the picnic, here is their website. You will find info in English, French and Spanish. 31 Oct 2007 1:46pm @Illuci: There could be a more prosaic explanation for their hands. I was a bit chilly at times on that day, and maybe they just wanted to keep their hands warm. |
