@Manuela Photography: Yes, it was a great show, and the families that came here from Afghanistan are working hard to integrate, they are happy and the girls and women especially love the freedom and equality they enjoy here. They whole group is an asset to our society...

@Amir: Yes, they are from Afghanistan, they arrived here about 10 years ago as a group of several families and all have worked hard to rebuilt their lives, they really did well and integrated quickly.

I read in newspapers, books (khaled Hosseini wrote two Dutch novels about Afghanistan life nowadays) and in e-mails (a friend of mine is a military surgeon over there but is operating upon far more civilians than military), about the situation over there. It must be very weird for refugees to be in such a paradise like Canada on the one hand, and loving their home country on the other hand, feeling the misery and sorrow of their families and friends over there. Good picture, good job!!
