A real "blast from the past" kind of image for me. There were a number of old factories in New Orleans that had this same kind of look, including the metal covered catwalk that crossed over busy streets below. I love this picture.

Well chosen POV which adds fine perspective and geometry. The textures are stunningly rendered.

... as an after-thought? This shop was closed a long time ago. I am not enough old to know the answer to your question ;-)
Perhaps the comment from Viewfinder can give you an hint. The Imperial Tobacco in Granby was a big multi-buildings shop.
Love how you kept the line of the building tops with the shadow. Another wonderfully crisp shot with lovely colours.

@Hélène: Je suis bien d'accord avec toi Hélène, c'est génial. Am3 est une communauté de photographes pas mal à mon goût.
Si tu veux compléter ton émotion, visite les photoblogues des photographes qui t'ont laissé des commentaires : la plupart sont géniaux, ce qui permet d'apprécier encore plus la valeur des commentaires qu'ils t'ont laissés !
En plus, c'est stimulant, ça donne des idées, c'est...
